Life has been going by so fast. It feels like there is always something going on. I can't believe it has almost been a month since I posted. I will try to give you an update on what we have been doing.
1. I helped plan a ladies brunch for our church. We did something a little different then what we usually do. Our theme was "Bad Girls of the Bible" For our devotional time we had four ladies from the church write a monologue and then present it. Some of the bad girls were, The women at the Well, Sapphira (she ended up falling over dead) Rahab and the Sinful Women. They all did a very good job and we had a great turn out.
2. We went to Indiana for Kendall's graduation from Nursing. We also got to see some of the pottery that he made while taking a pottery class in college. He took one class, but could make as much pottery as he wanted. Believe me he did and I even got some pieces to add to my collection. We were teasing him that he went to scool for nursing but will end up as a professional potter.
3.I have been working on planning for Kingdom Kids for church. I am planning one week on the power of prayer and the other on praying for people. Does anybody have any great ideas, stories or fun ways to teach kids about prayer? Grades K-5.
4. We have had some beautiful weather lately and the kids loved playing outside. I just got some of my flowers so I plan to plant them on Saturday. I am so excited to have blooming flowers and see all of the perenials that are coming up. I plan to plant a little bit of a garden if I ever get around to it.
5. I have been going to some garage sales. The kids are in great need of clothes so I am hoping to hit some good ones tomorrow.
6.I am trying to get ready for a garage sale. I have been cleaning out cupboards and trying to get rid of stuff that we don't use any more.
7. Happy Mothers Day to all of you mothers out there. You are doing a great job!
8. My kids seem to need to eat a lot lately...they must be growing. I need to go and get them a snacka and get them to bed.

Spring Break
I know this update is long overdue, but this blog isn't really on my priority list.
Michaela had spring break 2 weeks ago so Hans and I decided to take the kids and go to Mom and Dad's. The kids did pretty good driving that far, thanks to the DVD player:) We spent almost a week there. The kids had fun feeding the horses and playing in Nana's little store that she has set up downstairs...you name it and she probably has it :) They also went to a tea party one afternoon. My mom had bought a tea party from one of her friends so we took the girls to the party and then we went shopping with Kyrell...It was just as nice for us.
One of the things that took up a lot of my time was helping mom redecorate the living room. It was a lot of fun buying new things, but also seeing what we could do with the things she had. We got pretty much done and then decided that maybe we should redecorate the kitchen too. We didn't get done with that because she is going to paint a wall and make new curtains so I guess we have to wait till next time.
Well I better go and get some work done my kids are sleeping.

An eventful Easter
I started my day out quite early for a Sunday morning. Our church had a pancake breakfast in the morning from 8:00-9:30. We advertised in the paper so we weren't sure how many people to expect, but we had a pretty good turn out. After the breakfast we went right into the church service. We had a lot of people especially kids. We didn't know how many kids to expect so we just took a wild guess. I was quite shocked when I saw all these kids coming and I started to panic because I was in charge of the craft and I only had 36 crafts. It did all work out because some of the boys thought they were to big to do the craft or maybe it was the hand of God:) However, we had quite an eventful time and the kids loved all the activities especially the egg hunt. I think we hid between 600-800 eggs.
After we got all cleaned up at church we came home and had lunch around 2:00. Tim had invited a single guy over that didn't have any family around so till we got more food together and got some steak grilled it was getting pretty late. We were done eating by 3:00 and then put the kids to bed and we got a nap too :) After everybody woke up around 5:00 we started dying eggs and having an egg hunt. Before we knew it it was passed dinner time and almost time for bed so we just had a bigger snack. What a day!

Blizzard of 2008
Well, we really did a get a lot of snow over the weekend. Usually, they say we are going to get more then what we usually do, but this time they called it right. It started snowing Friday morning and didn't stop snowing till Saturday around5:00 pm. We set a new record we had 15.5" in 24 hours. I was trying to enjoy this storm, but was a little worried because Tim wasn't at home with us enjoying it. He had to go to work at 4:30am Saturday morning and the roads weren't to bad then, but till 2:00 Saturday afternoon they were very bad and we were under a level 3 emergency. Level 3 meant that you werent supposed to be out on the roads and if you were you could possibly be arrested. We were watching the news Saturday afternoon while Tim was at work and they were saying you must stay off the roads or you could be arrested and someone was even put in jail (probably acting stupid). That freaked Michaela out and she said,"Maybe that is what happened to Daddy because he still isn't home from work." He did finally make it home safely, but then he got stuck in the driveway. I should of had pictures because it was pretty bad. We worked at it together and finally were able to get the car out, but then ended up getting stuck again. What great memories :) The kids had so much fun playing in the snow except the younger ones had a harder time trying to walk because it was so deep. We did try to go sliding down our hill, but it didn't work to well. It was a storm that we probably won't forget in a long time.

This and that and nothing much
Well, I don't have a whole lot to say, but I thought I better update since it is probably about time.
Tim and I got to go to a Home and Garden show last week which was a lot of fun. I was amazed at how much time some of these businesses spent to make their booth look nice. Some landscaping businesses had real tulips and full size trees brought in and even set up retaining walls. It was like walking through gardens in the dead of winter. We also got to put our names in many drawings, but sad to say we didn't win anything:(
Question??? What all have you guys been cooking lately? I am looking for some great recipes for the crockpot. This week is a little bit slower then some which is very nice. I have at least one day where I will not have time to make any dinner and I thought maybe I should throw something in my new crockpot. Any suggestions?
