Last couple of weeks

I have been very busy lately...so many things to do. I am working on getting my business started, babysitting, planning our ladies holiday event. The holiday event was today so I am feeling like I can finally catch up on a lot of things that got pushed aside, like my house, planning meals etc. My poor husband only got two good dinners this week, but thankfully he was very understanding. What would I do without him!!

Here are a few snapshots of the last several weeks

We made these crazy looking guys by going and looking outside to see what we could find laying around.
This is our crazy son!
Michaela and Adalie acting silly on Michaela's birthday
Michaela wanted a music cake. She just started pianos lessons and loves them

Jolene and I and Michaela and Selah went to an Olympic Gymnastic Superstars show for her birthday. For those of you that watched the Olympic gymnastics...we got to see Shawn Johnson, Nastia Lukin and bunch of the other stars. It was a lot of fun and the girls loved it.

This is Nastia.

NEWS

Well, I am sure you all are wondering what news I have to share. Before you get too many ideas... I am NOT pregnant if that is what you were thinking :)

I just signed up to be an Usborne Book consultant. A friend of mine introduced me to Usborne Books. I was so impressed with the quality and educational content of the books that I decided to sign up and sell them.

As many of you know God has called Tim to go back to college and get his Masters degree in Counseling. This has been a huge step of faith for us. I feel like this may be a way that I can help financially and I am also looking forward to getting to know many people in the community.

I am having my first show on Saturday the 25th along with an eShow. Some of you may recieve an invitation to my eShow. If you haven't recieved an eShow invitation still consider yourself invited. If you would like to view all the products or make a purchase you can go to www.ubah.com/HOS128323 This eShow ends 10/25/08 at 11:59 pm.

Fun with the kids

My mom was here about 2 weeks ago and my plan was to blog right after she left because I had so much to say, but it is only happening now.

One of the fun things that we did with the kids was a treasure hunt/fast food progressive supper. We started out by going to Taco bell and getting nachos and cheese. Next was Burger King for our main dish and then McDonalds for apple dippers and we ended up at Wendy's for Frosty's. We had the seats out in the back of the van so we took a blanket along and ate our food in the back. The kids had so much fun with this. We actually didn't spend as much as we do if we just go to one fast food restaurant. Here are some of the pictures..

Our first clue. "I have a soft shell and my last name is Bell."

2nd clue... "If you were a king you could wear my crown. "

Third clue... "Old ------- had a farm" Adalie always calls McDonalds, old McDonalds.

Fourth clue... I am just about at the end of the alphabet, because you are sweet I have a treat.

When mom was here we also made a quilt, pillows and shams for Kyrell's bed. Maybe I will post a picture when I get the quilt finished...if I ever get it done.

Highlights of the summer

There is no way that I can catch up on our whole summer. Our summer didn't go as planned...God had other plans. Tim quit his job at Tim Horton's in May and had other work lined up for the summer. The day before he was ready to start at his new job, his soon to be boss called and told him that he had a BIG contract that just fell through and that he wouldn't have work for him after all. What were we to do?? Well, to make a long story short we did a lot of traveling...we were like a job on wheels. The summer was very stretching for us, but I wouldn't trade it for anything...God so faithfully led us and taught us many things along the way. We learned a lot about FAITH and don't get me wrong we are still learning:)

Here are some highlights from our summer. We had fun even when Tim was working :)

Adalie's 4th Birthday

Having fun making cookies with Nana

We had a Willis Miller family reunion. It was great to interact with cousins that we hadn't seen in a long time. Michaela enjoyed spending time with her 4 girl cousins that were born in 2000.

Tim worked in Kansas city for his brother in law for a week. After visiting with them we went to see the Arch in St. Louis.

We all got in this small cabin and rode the whole way up to the top of the arch. It was quite an experience for me...we were high and heights isn't one of my strengths. It wasn't as scary at the top as what I was expecting it to be, but I was ready to get my feet down on solid ground.

It was a very weird feeling to lay on the ground under the arch because it looked like it was swaying...the kids had a lot of fun with this.

Off to New York for a vacation! We were with Tim's family and had a lot of fun on the boat, playing in the water and going fast on the tube...well these guys didn't go to fast, but I sure felt like I was flying.

Michaela and her cousin Cheree having fun on the boat.

What Fun! I went to Indiana a couple days early to help with Rachel's wedding. Rachel had a brunch for all of her friends that could make it the day before the wedding. It was such a good time to be able to catch up a little bit with what was going on with some of my friends that I hadn't seen for so long. This was such a great idea Rachel :)

What an honor it was to be there and celebrate with Rachel and Dave.

Of course we need to at least have one picture of the beautiful bride and groom.

Another highlight was being able to meet Keyan. Our friends had been working on adopting him for awhile and the day finally came when we got to meet him. He is just the cutest guy!

We went with our small group to Young's Dairy where you can feed the goats, eat ice cream that they make there and just have a lot of fun. Adalie enjoyed feeding the goats.

The kids having fun riding the train at Young's Dairy.

Well, that is our summer in a small nut shell. We did take a trip to PA, but I didn't take any pictures. Tim was working for his brother, Terry and I was there with the kids and made some meals and did laundry so he could have a bit of a break.

It was quite the summer, but we made it through and even had a lot of fun in spite of all the change that we weren't expecting. God is FAITHFUL!!!

Family Matters

Life has been going by so fast. It feels like there is always something going on. I can't believe it has almost been a month since I posted. I will try to give you an update on what we have been doing.

1. I helped plan a ladies brunch for our church. We did something a little different then what we usually do. Our theme was "Bad Girls of the Bible" For our devotional time we had four ladies from the church write a monologue and then present it. Some of the bad girls were, The women at the Well, Sapphira (she ended up falling over dead) Rahab and the Sinful Women. They all did a very good job and we had a great turn out.

2. We went to Indiana for Kendall's graduation from Nursing. We also got to see some of the pottery that he made while taking a pottery class in college. He took one class, but could make as much pottery as he wanted. Believe me he did and I even got some pieces to add to my collection. We were teasing him that he went to scool for nursing but will end up as a professional potter.

3.I have been working on planning for Kingdom Kids for church. I am planning one week on the power of prayer and the other on praying for people. Does anybody have any great ideas, stories or fun ways to teach kids about prayer? Grades K-5.

4. We have had some beautiful weather lately and the kids loved playing outside. I just got some of my flowers so I plan to plant them on Saturday. I am so excited to have blooming flowers and see all of the perenials that are coming up. I plan to plant a little bit of a garden if I ever get around to it.

5. I have been going to some garage sales. The kids are in great need of clothes so I am hoping to hit some good ones tomorrow.

6.I am trying to get ready for a garage sale. I have been cleaning out cupboards and trying to get rid of stuff that we don't use any more.

7. Happy Mothers Day to all of you mothers out there. You are doing a great job!

8. My kids seem to need to eat a lot lately...they must be growing. I need to go and get them a snacka and get them to bed.

Spring Break

I know this update is long overdue, but this blog isn't really on my priority list.

Michaela had spring break 2 weeks ago so Hans and I decided to take the kids and go to Mom and Dad's. The kids did pretty good driving that far, thanks to the DVD player:) We spent almost a week there. The kids had fun feeding the horses and playing in Nana's little store that she has set up downstairs...you name it and she probably has it :) They also went to a tea party one afternoon. My mom had bought a tea party from one of her friends so we took the girls to the party and then we went shopping with Kyrell...It was just as nice for us.

One of the things that took up a lot of my time was helping mom redecorate the living room. It was a lot of fun buying new things, but also seeing what we could do with the things she had. We got pretty much done and then decided that maybe we should redecorate the kitchen too. We didn't get done with that because she is going to paint a wall and make new curtains so I guess we have to wait till next time.

Well I better go and get some work done my kids are sleeping.
